Best Time to Visit the Bahamas

Depending on where in the Bahamas you plan to base yourself, really any time of year can be a good time for visiting. With that said, if you’re paying big bucks to stay in one of the best adults-only all-inclusive resorts in the Bahamas, it helps to know the pros and cons from season to season.

The Dry Season in the Bahamas typically runs from December to April and is the most popular time to visit. There’s little rain and temps are pleasantly warm with low humidity. But this is high season, and hotel and activity prices tend to be considerably higher. Also, the best hotels book up fast and top attractions are more crowded.

Alternatively, the Wet Season (May to November) brings hotter temperatures and, yep, more rain. Hurricane season officially runs from June to November, with the highest risk of travel-disrupting storms being in August, September, and October. The upshot, of course, is lower prices and smaller crowds.

But wait! There’s also Shoulder Season, which tends to be our preferred time to visit the Caribbean. Usually occurring around May and November, this time of year gives you a balance of generally good weather with lower prices and fewer tourists.

What to Know for Your Bahamas Resort Stay

What is the best resort for couples in the Bahamas?

The Bahamas has no shortage of amazing resorts and hotels. But if you’re looking for the best couples-only all-inclusive resorts in the Bahamas, we suggest starting your search with Sandals Royal Bahamian and Warwick Paradise Island.

What does “adults-only resort” mean in the Bahamas?

In terms of the top picks on our list, “adults-only resort” generally means you must be at least 18 years of age to enter the resort. There is, however, one notable exception in our guide where guests must be ages 14 and older. It’s also worth noting that in addition to being “adults-only” resorts, Sandals properties are “couples-only” resorts as well.
